As the last of the Christmas clearance disappears from store shelves, I always hope to find one more hidden gem. Today I got my wish! I stopped into Walgreens super quick for Diet Coke (I know, I know…blech. Mark drinks it) and happened to see these babies sitting on a shelf in the toy section.
Walgreen’s version of EOS lipbalms. They were still ringing up $2.99 each, but I didn’t hesitate to ask an employee if they should have been marked down by now since they are obviously holiday items. I told the employee that if they were to be marked down to 90% (the last markdown before they get taken off the shelves for the season) that I would take them all. The young gentleman went to ask a manager for me and the manager agreed that if I took them all, I could have them for 29 cents each! Whaaaaat? Who does that? It’s crazy-town! Obviously, I took them all, including the little bin they came in for a grand total of $7.25.
We’re EOS addicted in this house, and the cheapest I’ve found it is on sale at Target for $2.69 last week. These will be great for months to come and there’s plenty to share with family!
EOS lemon drop…and yes, I paid retail for it..I love it that much.
And speaking of fun deals…did anyone else get their Beauty Box from Walmart in the mail this past week? It’s a neat little program. Sign up and Walmart sends you a free beauty box every season…spring, summer, winter & fall and you only pay shipping, which is $5. This is my first Beauty Box and I’m more than happy with it and feel like the $5 was a good deal for what I received, plus it’s fun to have a surprise coming in the mail.
Here’s what I got…
